I'm wanting to purchase one of these for my 55 gallon tank, but would like opinions. I'm looking for a good lamp that'll grow plants and is under 100$ or that exactly.

Anybody have one?

Im not a plant expert by any means & im sure others will have a better idea here but option #1 is a 10k bulb & actinic bulb- i dont believe either is ideally suitable for plants (unless the you can get other bulb options). Option #2 is just the housing- you will need to buy bulbs seperately as it does not come with bulbs. I found some reasonably priced 48" T5HO 65/67k lights (with bulbs) on ebay- you may want to do some more looking to see what options are available in your price range.
