Need sump-one to help

Hi,

Is anyone able to help me out with a sump design? All help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been researching sump designs but all I've done is confuse myself even more.

I've seen debates regarding the need for live rock in the sump. The main tank will have the required amount of live rock for the size.

That's about it for now. If anyone is willing to help please let me know what units of measurements we'd be working in as I'm in UK and I bet you're not.

What are you using the sump for? just to hide equipment/extra water volume or for macro algae's?
