Hi all,

Just bought 4 neon tetra for my 19L tank and I notice that one is nipping the fins of the other 3.

In this tank are also 2 sunset platys.

I don't know what to do, should I remove the nipper?

I don't fancy waking up to find fish dead with no tails

Also my platys have been happy to now I don't want to upset them?

Any advice welcome thank!!!

They are just establishing a pecking order. It's normal in schooling fish. Just give it time and make sure your water parameters are good to promote wound healing.

I only have 4 is that maybe an issue as well?

The LFS told me that was perfect but it's just not an enjoyable experience watching them just now.

One poor soul has almost lost half it's tail fin.

Also I think I was misled about how stable they are my water might not quite be ready for them yet.

I've added some aqua plus for healing and reducing stress
