I keep my planted tank around 7.3 ph using co2 for the plants. How can I raise the ph without raising the co2 dosage? I have freshwater clams that are being effected too. I've searched and found adding calcium will help. Thoughts?

You need to test you KH and GH if they are too low that is the problem. If I remember right I think I had read awhile back that snails needed a GH/KH of 4 (I'd check this out to verify since I'm going from memory). I know they can't be kept in too soft of water or that happens. I monitor my GH/KH because I have a organic soil substrate (alot of peat) and I keep various nerites. By doing a 50% WC weekly I keep my GH and KH at a pretty constant 4.
