Ok so I am selling something this weekend (hopefully) that will fully fund my 120 gallon purchase with stand brand new. I have decided to go with a Rena XP3 filter and will add my current filters which are a penguin 170 and an AC 20 more less to get the ball rolling on the cycle. I currently have 6 Elongatus mpanga and 2 babys a pleco and 3 algae eaters all of which are rather small.
Dimensions I was given by the LFS are 618X26 sound right ?
I am wondering what else I may need set up wise (other than a heater of course)
I want to get demasonis what other fish can i keep with the ones i have and plan to get I am also thinking salousi how many different kinds should I keep in a tank this large and how many of each at maximum.
what is the best sand ( I have had aragonite in the past)
and the biggest question:
I know for a fact where the tank is going to sit is sloped it is going to be in my basement and the floor slopes for the drain hole what is the best way to level out the tank I am guessing it will be at least an inch off front to back.
???
Any help here would be appreciated I am not new to keeping fish or Cichlids but have never had a tank this big I am very excited but also leary.
Thanks
Dylan
