I need some advice on lighting options for my new innovative marine 16g which is in transit to me :)
search
the lights are not included, I am looking at these Arcadia stretch marine led, they look pretty good http://www.arcadia-aquatic.com/classica-stretch-led/ will be getting the 26w marine version just need some advice, will I be able to grwo any sps with these? The tank is only 12 inches deep thanks.

I'm not really a lighting specialist so don't hold this to me .
if I remember correctly you are looking for 3 watts per gallon .
remember keeping SPS requires strong lighting now with LPS and softies you can use a light no less than 1 1/2 watts per gallon ,

I don't think think the watt per gallon/litres applies with LEDs, I grew a few montipora with my tmc 12w tile with success , the 26w has a much better spectrum so I think I will give it a try. My tank has arrived today so just need to find a stand and light now.

Correct. Watts per gallon doesn't really apply. It has a lot to do with spectrum and pur. Par can be used as well, but isn't always as effective since leds penetrate water extremely well.

I really love the coulors this LED gives out, makes the few corals I actually have look really nice and they are already responding very well. Can't wait to get some more corals, maybe some zoa's, acans, blastos ect might try a montipora or something towards the top of the tank
