Apparently our OB Peacock is going to be a mom! Question of the day is are they all hers or did our Cuckoo catfish sneak some in? Whichever they are now in the hatchery

I believe they are all hers. The catfish hatch sooner and eat the babies inside the mother.

EOGoldfish remembers correctly. Feed your fry infusoria or finely ground cichlid flake when they're a couple days old, and watch them grow. It's a fun experience the first few times. It won't be too long though, before you leave new fry in the tank and hope that they get eaten. :)

Thank you for the input! We managed to get the eggs out of her mouth one day into seeing her with them which is why we're unsure if they are all hers. We have six cuckoos so we shall see what happens. We read about the cats eating the others that's why we got them all out right away. This is our first group of fertile eggs so it's pretty exciting! I'll keep y'all posted
