New Angel shredding

Ok so I have a 55 gal that has been set up for a year all my test levels are good but my ph is high. Current stock is 1 small pleco 1 rainbow shark 2 gourami 2 rainbow fish and my new angel. He looked a little rough when I got him but its been a week and now and he's looking worse. I started dosing melafix 3 days ago but no improvement that I can see. Any help?

Hey guys its been over a month since I got this guy. I've kept my water in pristine condition but I don't seem to be seen any improvements. he wasn't getting any worse until the day he actually split all the way up the middle of the tail after I did a water change. will melafix help this guy and can i treat him in the tank with my shrimp in there or do I need to remove him to a separate tank without my shrimp?
