Currently I have a ZooMed Nano 10 on a 9 gallon Eheim cube. The problem is that this unit is failing so needs to be replaced. The flow is good, but it isn't strong enough to set it on the floor (and it's blocking my view).

I like the fact that it is easy to service. It has a spray bar. It isn't so strong that it will blow around my (future) shrimp. I have a steel filter on the intake to prevent sucking up little creatures.

I'd like to replace it with another canister, one that I can set on the floor. I've never had a "real" canister before though. I don't want to use inside space for a filter because the tank is so small. I've dealt with HOBs before and don't want to do that again.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Am I doomed to another HOB? Or is there a good canister out there for me?
