New fish quarantine

How long should new fish be quarantined before adding to the main tank? Should I be hitting it with an all-purpose medication, or just watching/waiting for any anomalies?

And when they say only add a few fish at a time, a few fish a day? A week?

I have 6 newbs in my QT tank since Saturday. All appear healthy, just cramped...

I quarantine everything for a minimum of 21-24 days along with the use of anti-protozoa and anti-bacterial medicated flakes from AngelsPlus. If anything occurs such as ich or other infections during QT I reset the clock back to 21-24 days and start all over.

Three to four weeks is good although I wouldn't medicate anything unless it was necessary.
