New German Ram with fin growth

New to caring for German Rams and brought this beauty home over the weekend. Noticed late last night a clear “growth” on his fin. Thought maybe ich but it hasn’t grown or spread like ich. Now I’m leaning towards fungus, hopefully not, but I’m worried about the rest of the tank. Hoping that it’s maybe scarring from his previous LFS tank mates.

Background, somewhat new tank, has been through its cycle (7ish weeks old). Currently being kept in 30g with a couple guppies and 6 cardinal tetra. All ranges normal, temp steady at 80 degrees. Fish is swimming normal, engaging with environment and eating normally. Have a smaller 5g tank that we could use as a QT but it’s currently being used for guppy fry.

Any insights? Would really appreciate it and so glad to have found this site.

I don't know anything about this specific fish, but are you sure that isn't a torn fin? From the bottom photo, it looks more like a tear than a growth.

That was my initial thought, but it doesn’t look torn but it could be scar tissue? The pictures were tough enough to capture. I’m hoping that’s all it is, but wanted to error on the side of caution. Appreciate your thoughts though. I hope that’s it!
