New gourami

I just added a three-spotted gourami. I fed it a couple times and it's going to the bathroom (lol) a lot. Is this normal? Just something gourami's do? Could it be sick or just stress from a new tank?

Maybe he was stressed at the store and wasn't eating and now he is so it's going through his system faster? Is the poop an odd color or clear or anything?
