Just installed a 2x55w light kit tonight. Wow..what a difference. My plants have been getting holes in the leaves and generally looking awful. Been adding liquid fertilizer, hasn't helped much. Upgraded lights from 80w to 110w in a planted 55g community tank.

Sure hope it helps.....I don't think I could bare switching to plastic plants
:D

Way to go Scooby!

Lighting is the #1 factor, now what else you gonna do?

What's your substrate, fertilizer, any Co2?

I haven't tried CO2.........a little expensive? Maybe someday. Substrate is a pea sized gravel.........no flourite....yet. I tried the fertilizer tabs that disolve like alka-seltzer.........didn't seem to help. Now I'm using a product called Leaf Zone.
