New mystery snail

I just got my first snail, but my tank doesn't have a cover. Do you think he'll try to climb out? He's very active and I'm worried he might try.
 
Alot depends on what type of snail it is. If it is a mystery snail they can but usually don't go any further than the top of the water line.
