Hello everyone!
I'm looking to start either a 5 or 2.5 gallon shrimp colony! I have a nano filter left over from a previous beta tank and have the old lights I used to grow plants in my beta tank. I am also currently running an overgrown 20 gallon long so I could take plant clippings from there potentially. I do have a few questions though: 1. Will the shrimp overpopulate if I don't thin them out/sell them? (will an LFS even take my shrimp?) 2. Whats the best substrate for shrimp (probably RCS) 3. Do I need special food for the shrimp? 4. Do the shrimp need a heater?
