I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right thread or not, but...
Yesterday my partner brought an Oscar, he's bn wanting one for a while. He told the store assistant " want the angriest and most aggressive Oscar". When we got home and opened the bag to check - it was floating on it's side and the water was just covering him (the bright store assistant's water fill).
Getting it into it's own tank, the Oscar finally picked up and began slowly moving around. My partner also asked for bait fish, obviously to feed the new Oscar. The store assistant gave x2 (so-called) bait fish - which are a third of the Oscar's size. He tries to hide behind the heater and underneath the water filter. To me, he looks sad. Nothing seems right, it first started after choosing the Oscar we wanted -
• Store assistant got a different Oscar.
• Assistant added food to the bag, but didn't sell or provide the food to the public.
• The water level was too low.

The Bait Fish:
Does any of this look or sound right?
