Hi everyone

Just got some new plants today and when I unwrapped the newspaper the bunches are held together with a spring clip of some kind. I'm assuming I need to remove this because it appears metallic, but how does the bunch stay together when planted and not float apart.

Thanks for your help

Brian

if you stick them down in well, you should be ok... if not, i usually use small stones to keep them in place until they root. HTH.

You actually plant the stems separately, not as a bunch. stagger them out an inch apart or so...they'll fill themselves in. If you plant teh whole bunch, they'll choke either other out. if you leave the weight on, the stem will rot and they'll all eventually float away from the weight/clip anyways.
