I am new to the fish keeping world with a cycled tank
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrite
10 ppm nitrate
I got a new Sunset Mickey Mouse Platy and didn't notice till I got home part of his tail Myra's gone. I just don't know what to do

I don't know what their tales look like in the first place but it could have been attacked by another fish or it could be fin rot. I'd go back to the shop to see if they have any treatments for the fish. Good luck!
 
Nipped off
It's not fin rot I'm sure of that
Do you know what fish it was with at the store?
 
It was with Dalmatian and ballon mollies and more Micky mouse plays I also have 5 cardinal tetras but I noticed 30 minutes after I let it in the tank
 
The best cure of nipped or otherwise damaged fins is clean water and a good, protein rich diet. Nipped fins usually grow back fairly quickly in an otherwise healthy fish.
