New rock

Hey, I've recently bought a new tank with rock but it's all dried out how long will it take to make the rock live again? It's a brand new tank so I won't have anything cycled. Cheers

once you get your tank set up it should take aprox 4/8 weeks
deli shrimp is a good ammonia source that many of us used ,

Wash the rock thoroughly then rinse in RO water or water treated to remove chloramine before starting the cycle. It probably has a lot of dead organic matter embedded in it that doesn't really need to be in the new system.
