I gradually planted my tank over a span of a few weeks. Because
I didn't get the plants allay once my tank was pretty scattered. Just today I reorganized everything and tried at making it denser in the one end. Here is before: http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums...B-B64D-413A-8625-AF9F21A7EFB3_zpsiuzlyhsn.jpg and after http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums...1-6CF2-43B6-ADA4-1A9AAE97F9D4_zpsjx7jvqlf.jpg I have another plant package in the mail coming tomorrow. Does the tank look better now or later? The tank might look cloudy now but that's only because I moved everything.

Thanks, it's my first go at a planted tank. It's about 2 months old.

I like the after picture too. I also like the little hills you made. Good job!

Oh haha, that wasn't on purpose I was just moving around gravel to make sure all of the plants roots were burried.

Definitely better in the 2nd pic, it's not so scattered and has a more natural feel to it. It would be nice to see that val fill in the mid rear if the tank.

Yeah, that Val has already had 4 runners and I've only had it for a few weeks.

Val grows quick but controlling it can be a pain lol. I had mine in high light and co2 and it was throwing runners all over almost daily. I finally said screw it and pulled it out after it started to pop up in my hc carpet.

Yeah, my tank is high low light. Growth isn't bad and easily controlled. I might upgrade to Finnex planted plus eventually.
