new shrimp tank

hi guys,
I recently found a tank that is relatively cheap and I believe ideal for a beginners shrimp tank! I'll place sponge over the filter intake if purchased but unsure if I should get it?! could I please have an opinion on the tank as to wether it's ideal for a shrimp tank or not.

You could do shrimp. I'd steer clear of goldfish, lol.
