Do I need any sort of chemicals when setting up my tank? I have the water conditioner to remove chlorine, chloramines, etc. (even though I have run my water through a purifier, mini R/O)? My PH is around 8.2. Do I need to condition the water in any other way? Thanks.

I actually just set mine up with just the tap water conditioner...here in arizona its really bad...so i was expecting the worse...but its not bad! HTH

The best thing to do is to get an R/O unit. It takes all the guesswork out of the quality of your tapwater, and as well as getting rid of chlorine/chloramines etc. it also gets rid of the vast majoity of the TDS (total dissolved solids) in the water. Your fish will love you for it! :p
