Got a new 10gallon what should I do? Should I get cheap fish and just for them to get bacteria in the tank or would he be fine to put him in there.

P.S. My old tank did not have a filter it had an under gravel filer.

Can't do that the paint came off them and got new stuff

Your options are limitless!! I probably would do a tropical tank.

I get aquarium sand, a non under gravel filter, and start a fishless cycle while you get your funds together for sweet fish

Ok. Get some sand. If your old gravel is dry, then no bacteria is still in there. Id get a marineland penguin filter, with a biowheel. Id also add some decor, because the bio bacteria can grow on that as well. Decide now if you want live plants or not, if so, get a coralife t5 light (the brand is pretty low price, and I personally have and like mine) also research plants and what kind you want (possible co2 setup also) do you want salt water or fresh

Wait I got some decor that was in my old tank would that work to get some bacteria in there

What would happen to my fish if I took all the decor out of his tank

So should I just put one of the 2 decorations in the tank and kind of rotate it
