My husband and I rescued one lonely zebra danio that had been living for years zipping back and forth in a tiny fishbowl and wanted to give him a good home -- well, fast-forward and now we are up to 3 planted freshwater tanks!
First tank: Planted 20 gallon with many red cherry shrimp, 10 neon tetras, one algae eater and one assassin snail
Second tank: Planted 55 gallon (my husband's -- he likes to go big! ) with two blue spotted gouramis, 6 danios (our first little fish has friends now!), 6 white cloud minnows, a lot of red cherry shrimp, a few algae eaters and one assassin snail
Third tank: Planted 20 gallon long (my tank) with 3 red cherry shrimp, 5 all male fancy guppies, and one algae eater
We had no idea how much we'd enjoy this hobby and how much fun it's been to get the tanks up and running.
So hello all -- looking forward to learning a lot!
