Hello all! I have a few diff. tanks so Im not new to aquariums but I am deff. new to RES care. Here is the back story. My brother and his fiance have a bigggg res in a 40b.....poor turtle.
I happen to have a 75 gal. that I was going to put a oscar or green terror in. Well, I know the 75 still isn't the proper size for a res BUT it has to be better then a 40b. I am going to trade him the 75 for the 40b because I can just set it up as a reef tank. I would like to get schooled on a good set up for a res......Substrate, rocks to get out of the water, heat lamp? , FILTRATION?....Does a res tank get cycled just like a fish tank? Must they be heated?
