Hello, i'm new to maintaining a fish tank and i was wondering if anyone had any advice for what are the best ways to keep a healthy fish tank? I have 4 neon tetras but I'm planning on get more to form a school. What is the best way to keep these fish healthy?

Did you do a fishless cycle before starting your tank? If not, then your tank is going to cycle with them in there and in that case you need to be doing very frequent (every few days) at least 50% water changes. There are great threads on here for fishless cycle, but it sounds like you started the tank with them, so the frequent water changes are my suggestion, but I'm sure more experienced folks will chime in.

Clean water!

Stock lightly.
Plant heavily (with real plants).
Filter heavily (5-10x turnover per hour)

After tank is cycled, cycling is the first thing always. But read your other post, your on your way with the fish-in cycle.
