new with cichlid and one is prego

when i bought my cichlids i got a sunrise peacock and she has been acting very weird always hiding well she came out the other day and she was prego had a big belly and everything. i dont know if she got that way in my tank being she is the only sunrise but i have two peacocks

well i dont know what to do

What other behavior makes you think she is carrying eggs? What other fish do you have and how long has your tank been set up? She may not be ready to spawn but could have another problems such as dropsy.

she is always hiding in the rock thing i have only sticking her head out and her lower stomic has grow alot in the past week

i have the two peacocks and two eletric one blue one yellow and a snow white

she has been in the tank for like two weeks now

it is quite possible she is prego.

even if she is 1 species of peacock, she can still breed.

ive have my OB breed with my eureka once. awesome babies.

i breed and what i would do is catch her, put her in a net breeder and after a week or so stick your thumbnail gently in her mouth and gently press on her gills and let all the fry come on out. dont leave her with the babies tho. she will eat them
