Had the opportunity to visit another conservatory in Rockford IL while travelling through for business. The Nicholas Conservatory is right along the rock river just north of downtown Rockford. All pics taken using a Canon T3 EOS Rebel and a Tamron 60mm f/2.0 lens with a ring flash.

Thanks Shelly! I am workin on it. Fun playing with that ring flash.

Amazing pictures Justin :)
My very favorite is from the first set you posted, first row, third one. The one with the pink flowers, the colors just seem to really pop.

Thanks Becca. I got quite of few of those pink flowers... the coloration is intense! Most of the photos, it was washed out it is so intense.

I love the green and purple phal. It looks great. Your second shot, the bromeliad, also looks really good.

I think you deserve one of those fancy POTM badges for those, I can't ID flowers like fish but very nice!

Thanks HUKIT! I am pretty happy with the results. Hopefully the next outing will have even more improvement. Thank god for digital media. I can't imagine how much real film I'd have gone through by now to get to acceptable results.
