So I got 10 balloon red eye tetras 3 platys 1 golden Chinese algae eater and this one little guy has this "sore" on him now im not going to lie i got suckered into the GCAE by the fish seller and i didnt know that they like to "suck" on other fish after i found this out, i promptly returned him that said, i didnt see this guys "wound" till afterwards <there is tons of hiding spaces in my tank> and im wondering if the GCAE caused it while they where in the bucket getting drip acclimated ? the first day it was bright pink like something took a chunk from him now it is white and a lil bit puffy. not sure if i should get this guy out cause its contagious or leave him in, the water is 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 10-20 nitrates 8.2ph 77-80F i dont have a quarantine tank set up, but i do have an active sponge filter from anglesplus and i do have some extra 10 gallon tanks should i take this guy out and set him up in one of those?
All that said, sorry it was so long, he/she eats like a pig and swims just like the rest and has no outward signs of anything being wrong. his poo is normal brownish long strands so idk if its parasite or sucker fish wound.
Also ive been doing some online searching and im not sure if its Columnaris or Saprolegnia hope its neither and just a wound from the GCAE i had it does not appear "stringy" to me but it is def white and raised, i know its not ICK cause i had that years ago so i know what that looks like...
