So, in my sump, where there is no bright light...and sometimes no light...I have lots of strange critters.

1. Calcareous tubes...red fans. Look like red feather-duster worms, but with very thick stoney tubes.

2. Something FUNKY that is growing near the bottom in a little niche. Looks like a sea apple, but it's very very hard to see. Any ideas? I'm going to get a pic of it in the light when I get my spotlight and digital camera back over here.

3. Odd wirey white things that grow in clusters on the glass. Look like plant roots that just spread across the glass. Weirdest things ever.

Any ideas?

LOL I just love these "odd things" posts. Isn't SW great?!
Well, the calcareous tubes sound like spirorbid worms.
The second thing, I have no clue
Third item is a sponge. I've heard it referred to had finger sponges as well as branching sponges. HTH
