One or two plant species tank

Has anyone ever done a tank with only one or two types of plants? I'd love to see some pics. I just took out a ton of plants in my 55 and am going to grow them outside during the summer. I left dwarf sag and vallisneria and am going to fill the back with the vals and the rest of the substrate with dwarf sag. Want to see some other attempts.

Not quite a monoculture, but there was a time (2013) when broadleaf chain sword took over the tank. This is after I started using diy CO2:
