I am thinking of starting a oscar tank any information would be great

What do you need to know? Get a 75 gal, an ac 110 and canister rated for 200+gallons, a bag of pool.filter sand and some nice big river rocks and drift wood. Probably want a python as you'll be changing 30 gallons a week.

55g minimum although the bigger the better. I find that pellets are better for oscars than flake food.

They grow best of you feed them 2 to 3 times a day up until they are about 6 inches. Then you can go back to daily feeding.

Lots, but the only easy ones to find are the tiger and albino. The rest can get pretty expensive.
