So we have been in the process of building our 100g tank for awhile now. We set it up back in march and then viciously got kicked out of the place we were staying, but now its back up and running and staying that way. Its been up for about 7 weeks now and doing perfect.

I thought I would start a build thread so we can track the process of it and you guys can observe comment and give advice.

So here is what we have,

100g SW possibly reef in the future
110 Aqua Clear HOB Filter( he stocking our cart at Foster & Smiths as we speak for our ref.)
CPR Aquatic Aeroforce 2 HOB Protein skimmer
6 Lamp T5 HO w' LED lights
2 Marine Land Maxi Jet 900 Powerheads
100+lbs Live rock

Livestock:
2 Maroon Clowns
1 Three-Striped Damsel
1 Blue Damsel
1 Yellowtail Blue Damsel
1 Female Tomato Clown
1 Strawberry Pseudochromis (Dottyback)
1 Christmas Wrasse
1 Long Spined Sea Urchin
2 Condy anemone's ( 1 white & 1 purple)
20+ Hermits
10+ Turbo snails
10+ Bumblebee snails
A few Feather dusters ( magically popping out of our rocks)

Enjoy, I know I will when I look back and see what we've done.

Those were before, this is now:

The first pic is what we sculpted first, but then we figured it wasn't safe enough when we bought the urchin who likes to shuffle things, so we moved it around and did the next picture.

Next is a pic of our 2 maroon clowns ( thunder and lighting) and the blue damsel ( blue lighting) and also the white condy.

In the next picture you can see Ketchup our Tomato Clown and Oreo the three striped damsel

How are the damsels with aggression? Typically damsels don't like each other, maroon clowns are part of that as well...

Just curious about your experience.

Welcome to the world of saltwater:)

I am building a 75 upgraded to 90 gallon too.

I see you are choosing aggressive fish. Please check the compatibility chart at http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/compatibility_chart.cfm
You may have to make some changes in the stocking list.

Clowns would love the anemone. See this clowns to anemone compatibility http://www.fishlore.com/clownfishanemonechart.htm chart.
. So you can ensure hosting will occur. As you may know anemone's need alot if light. Possibly metal halide for 24" deep tank. Which lights will you running???

Any live Rock? Or live sand?

Well at first the blue damsel would bug the yellowtailed but now they all found there own spots and no problems. The three-striped I never had an issue with at all.

The clown I want to say may be a mated pair. They never leave each others side. When we put in the Tomato clown one went into hiding so good that we thought the tomato ate him so we were going to return the other maroon so he wouldn't get eaten but as soon as we tried to catch him they other came out from hiding like he was saying don't take my friend!!!

The most aggressive 2 I have are the dotty back and the blue damsel. But only when someone enters their territory.

So Jonathan has been extremly busy the last 2 days building a new tank stand, and assembaling a DIY sump. This all means that the whole tank had to be disassembeled, everybody taken out of the tank, rocks de-scaped and rescaped and everybodody put back in. Also we bought a new RO/DI system and he brewed water for 24 hours straight... literally he stayed up all night lol. So now are tank is full of fresh RO water.

He's not up to typing what he did right now, but he will post at some point. I'll attach the pictures now so you can at least see what was done : ) Very Exciting!!

That was the sump but here is the whole tank with stand picture, also included the rescape it pretty much looks the same but more color now. He moved the base rock to the top so it can change to the pretty colors too. Right now they are still pretty white from being hidden.
