I think what I'd really love for my 75 gallon tank is a beautiful green garden inhabited by schools of tetras. (I've always wanted neons in paticular.)
My problem is total inexperience. I have never kept aquatic plants and to be honest, I'm overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information out there.
I'd love for someone to direct me to a bare basics article or website where I can just find out what plants are easy and how to care for them. Or do I need to do equations for lighting and frequent water testing to know what my plants need? I just really don't know where to begin. Thanks so much!

Try giving Rivercats a shout. She is the Queen of all things planted. You'll have the perfect teacher. Check out her planted 220g, amazing.......
