Petrified Wood (locally)...

I was wondering if I would be able to get Petrified Wood locally some place other then a pet store, My LFS wants 2.50+ per lbs and I was wondering what type of companies around town might also sell it...

Some garden and masonry supply stores sell it - for ALOT cheaper than the lfs. Same goes for just about all other popular aquarium stones. Just be sure to rinse it really well.

I agree with QTOFF. Check local garden shops. I've seen it for sale for rather cheap...much cheaper than a LFS would cost you. Also, try doing a google search for LFS in your area and call around. Maybe some will have some for cheap, or reccomend you a local shop that sells it.
