PH change... clearer water/Better fish behavior!?

I adjusted the PH in my cichlid tank with crushed coral from a devistating 5.5 up to a nicer 8.0


The fish are actually less aggressive, look brighter and happier, and are acting like they are very pleased. The water has never been so crystal clear.


is this just because of the PH change? I freaked out at first, the coral clouded the water a LOT.

The fish could be less aggressive because they are more comfortable.

Just think about how people act when it is extra hot out, or extra humid.

I have this nice piece of coral that I stuck in my tank and it turned all cloudy. I panicked and pulled it out. It's a shame cuz it would look cool in there.
