My API master kit shows ph at 8.8. All else are zero. What should I do?

The mickeys are still going about. The cories seem unhappy. Completely unsure what to do. My tap water is 7.0.

Are you adding ph products? What type of substrate do you have? It's unusual for tap parameters to change that drastically unless you are using crushed coral, aragonite or another carbonate based product in your tank (ie, calcium carbonate type sand). Have you tested your tap ph after it has gassed off for 24hrs?
