ph keeps dropping to 6.0

My tank is going through a mini cycle and the ph keeps dropping to 6.0. The ph from tap water is 7.6. I do a water change in the morning and the ph goes up to 6.4-6.6 then the next morning it goes back to 6.0.

If you're already doing this, then I apologize:

Let your tap water sit in a container overnight, preferably with an airline bubbling in it, and then check the pH. This will remove some factors from the water that might be altering your test results.
