Pictus catfish & Danios

Hello all - my friend would like to find a new home for her pictus. I have a 36 gallon tank that has 6 long fin and pearl danios (6 total) an angel, a pearl gourami, and an apple snail. Are the danios too small to keep with a pictus? They are young but at least a year old I would guess so not baby small...

And what is the bio load of a pictus catfish like? Are they good cleaners or dirty fish?

I have always heard pictus catfish need a bigger tank, like 55 gallons.

Not the question but thank you anyway - I respectfully disagree... Clearly everything I have read, min tank size for a pictus is 20 - mine is 36 and obviously not full...

The question is: Are the danios to small to keep with a pictus that would like to eat small fish...

I would say your tank is too small, pictus (iirc) are schooling fish, you would need at least 6 of them! And the danios would probably become lunch!
