I've read a few configurations of where to put aquarium heaters but never anyone saying the last chamber of a sump (where the pump would be) would be a good one. Why is this? Would it be just as fine in that chamber as any other? thanks. The reason I'm asking is because I have 3 chambers in my sump. The 1st one with the socks is closed off more or less not allowing me to place heaters in. The second is the refugium WHICH I actually feel is best BUT I have read to not put the heaters there as they can grow algae on them or kill the plants (I honestly don't fully understand this though as you put them in the display tank and they don't kill the plants???) Anyway, sooooooo any bad reason putting them in with the pump in the last sump chamber?
