What are the names of the plants that grow like carpet?
Ive seen different kinds of plants that do this but I don't know their names

Thanks

My parents live in Ft.Worth at the moment

Would riccia spread out as it grows? Or would I have to buy a whole bunch to cover the bottom?

Riccia, hairgrass(Eleocharis parvula and acicularis), lilaeopsis, pigmy chain swords, dwarf sagittaria and Glosso are the most common. Some are grass-like and others not. Most are fairly demanding as far as light goes.

I figured as much. :? I wonder if there are any low-light (non CO2) plants that form carpets besides Java moss.

Marsilea minuta (aquatic clover) and Marsilea quadrifolia are fairly low light plants similar to glosso, but they are not as readily available.

dwarf sag. is probably the lowest light, shortest height plant you can get to carpet. it gets 5-6 inches tall though, so not super short.
