Hey guys,

I got this plant the other day.
Anyone know what it is......it looks like it might not be aquatic.

Thx!

yeah it really doesnt looks aquatic, the leaves look kind of fussy, do they have little hairs. I have never heard of fuzzy aquatic plants before, so that is what makes me think it is terrestrial.

Here are a closeup and underwater shot of the plant.

It may have hairs on the leaves but I cannot see any.
This is as close a shot I can get of the leaves.

The leaves do kind of hold air like they might have some kind of hairs.
You can see some air on the leaves in the underwater shot.

It's Aeschynomene fluitans, it's a floating plant, will grow quickly with high light. I had one in my 55 but I moved it to a bucket outside as it got too big. Apparently if kept in a pond it will flower.

Aeschynomene fluitans.........thank you very much NewFound!
