Aquarium Advice Freak
Can anyone ID these plants for me? They came from a small creek in Kentucky. That's about all I know about them.

Looking through Kentucky's fish and wildlife website, and I found this

And I quote, Mud Plantain is grass-like plant with thin branching dark-green stems and alternate leaves. It can grow up to 6 feet long and can form floating colonies. Flowers rise above the surface and are bright yellow and star-shaped with 6 narrow petals.

Did the plants look like this when you found them?
Would it grow in an aquarium? Would it be a pain if it did grow?
After searching for it under its Botanical name: Heteranthera dubia I found this Heteranthera dubia - Water stargrass - Flowgrow Aquatic Plant Database
I think it would grow a lot like the sag's, so you'll want to provide it with a rich substances and a medium to strong light if you want it to stay low and carpet.
