plant regrow help

Plant it in soil in a pot and place near a decent light source (e.g. window). Keep the soil moderately moist. It should recover.
Don’t plant it in the tank. If you do, only keep the roots submerged. This is not an aquatic plant though it is often sold as one.

how come it was flourishing few months ago for a while .... so its best to keep it as a houseplant?
 
like fresh said. this is a semiaquatic plant. that means the roots need to be in water for the most part or have a good source of water but the leaves can only be submerged for short periods of time( a month or 2 at the most). this is called a white ribbon plant. it isnt an aquarium plant. it is much more suited for something like a backyard pond or a plant you keep in a window seal.
 
I see these all the time at Petco along with Mondo Grass and fully submerged bamboo. None are suited for full submersion.
