Can anyone recommend any starter plants for my tank? Can anyone send me some clippings if they have any?

I have a 29gallon with Mbunas one Red Zebra Male and an Electric Yellow. I have LEDs on the tank. I also have a 10 gallon with tiger barbs.

Assuming that they are low power LEDs you probably want to stick with some of the hard to kill stuff like java ferns, anubias, bolbitis, and mosses. You could always try a few slightly things (green stem plants and crypts primarily) but your mileage may vary.

You probably don't want to mess with plants with mbunas, they love to tear stuff up.

If you do really want some plants though then I'd try amazon sword, java fern, vallisneria, or some sort of anubias. Something really thick and hardy

1. No mbuna in a tank smaller than 50 gallons

2. Mbuna will destroy plants
Amazon sword, Anubias nana, java fern, Marimo moss balls, water wisteria, water sprite, anacharis, there are a lot if plants out there

Thanks everyone. No plants for me and getting a bigger tank.
