plant turning brown!

Hi I have a artificial plastic plant in my aquarium and lately a slimy brown thing has been growing on it.
No idea what it is, if its a problem and what to do about it!!

Its Algae.
Just make sure your filtration is still good and cut back on the time the lights are on. That should prevent more from growing.
