Setting up a new 9 gallon planted, but not yet sure on inhabitants...

Thinking dwarf corys, thread fin rainbows and endler guppies..

Any better ideas?

Cheers,

Ben

The threadfins might be too large for that tank size. I have not kept them but saw some in the LFS last night and they were at least 1.5".
The others sound fine. Perhaps celestial pearl danios or ember tetras for your setup.

I'd suggest C. Pygmaeus/Habrosus/Hastatus. I've succesfully kept pseudomugil furcata in a 10g. If you like them, make sure you have a 1:3 male/female ratio.

I'll have to see what I can and can't get in Perth..

The salt and pepper corys are neat, but not to keen on the rainbowfish

The dwarf cory cats and endlers sound great for a 9g tank.

I would suggest maybe some rasboras, like: boraras brigittae, boraras maculatus, boraras naevus.

Thanks for the input!
I'll have a look what I can get at my LFS.

Ended up getting a bigger tank and cycling it with seeded material from my main tank.

Got plants in and 10 neon tetras and 6 harlequin rasboras as well as 2 sterbai Corydoras.

Also got myself a led light specifically for the plants growth.
