Planted Betta tank

I went to Petco for cat food yesterday and came back with a beta and stuff for a new tank! On a whim I picked up some dwarf hair grass and I'm just wanting to know if I planted it correctly.



I know you're supposed to separate it into clumps so Im assuming I did that correctly yes?

Also the substrate is floramax, I started dosing pps pro and api co2 booster and there's two 10 watt ultra sun bulbs over the tank. Is this sufficient for the dhg to successfully carpet? Thanks in advance!

Yes you did but you can do even smaller clumps and by planting it in a checkboard fashion it will grow and spread faster. It grows best in high light and CO2.
