Planting Preparations

I have a 29 gallon tall tank w/ 1 angel, 2 tetras, and 2 sharks. I'm getting everything I need to turn my tank into a planted one. I have a very good power filter, standard lighing, average gravel.

What else would I need to get planting?

More lights? CO2 injector? Depends on how many plants. Lighting is the most important.

Some plants also need substrate to grow in.

Standard lighting on a 29g tank usually means 20w of fluorescent light. I would stick with low light plants if this is correct. Cryptocorynes, Anubias and Java ferns would be best to start. You can find a list of compatible plants by following the link below.
