I am wondering what the highest temperature that an aquatic plant can tolerate. Specifically java moss, fern, Anubis, swords, and other tropical plants.

It varies by species, but most of the ones you have will probably be good into the low-mid 80s. Are you wanting to keep a warmer tank, or have an ongoing ich problem?

+1 with aqua_chem

Some plants like lower temps, some like higher, but they ones you listed can do anywhere from 75-85f because they are pretty hardy.

Unfortunately ich and since salt probably isn't a good idea I wanted to bring the tank to 84. Thanks for the info. I had raised it up to 83 over the last few hours and everything seems fine.
